Bubba Lau'ese (born September 13, 1983 in Auckland) is a New Zealand-born Samoan professional basketball player. Lau'ese played Rugby union in Invercargill, Southland for the Excelsior Rugby Club narrowly missing out on the Manu Samoa squad for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He trialed for the Sharks after advice from coach Richard Dickel and managed to pick up a spot on the team's 12-man playing roster.[1]
